Earth Day 2010 - Saturday April 24th |
|
APRIL 16 - 18: Kick off Earth Week with a Global Day of Service during the weekend of April 16-18. CES invites you to attend one or more of our upcoming planning meetings* to help your community organize a creek cleanup in cooperation with the Cayuga Lake Watershed Network and the Floating classroom) or other event to recognize the value and beauty of our local lands and communities. This is a county-wide effort of volunteers to work locally prior to the big event.
APRIL 24: In culmination of these area events, we invite you to break bread, converse and dig in at a potluck on Saturday April 24th where you can meet and converse with others. Join us at the Southside Community Center in Ithaca, from 10 am - 3 pm, with a midday parade around the block and an Earthday Cake. Vendors and exhibitors, this year it's a party, and you're invited - to come and relax, and get to know one another.
APRIL 25: We are chartering a bus to Washington DC for the National Earth Day 40th Anniversary Celebration on the Mall.
